Electrical and Lighting Safety
Holiday decorations add warmth to any home, but electrical safety must come first. Before plugging in lights, inspect for frayed cords, loose bulbs, or damaged sockets. Use only UL-listed lights and extension cords rated for indoor or outdoor use as needed. Avoid overloading outlets or connecting too many strings of lights together; when in doubt, use a power strip with a surge protector. Always unplug decorations before leaving the house or going to bed.
Fire Prevention
